After taking the initial medication for the medical termination, you may leave the clinic.
You will have to organise a follow-up in approximately 2 weeks to ensure that the pregnancy has been terminated. Remote follow-ups are also an option for those who live rurally.
You may return to work the same day you visit our clinic.
Some patients may experience mild to severe bleeding for a couple of weeks following the medication. Bleeding may start after the first dose of medication, but is most common after the second dose.
We do not provide you with antibiotics.
You should not be responsible for looking after children alone for 24 hours after taking the second dose of medication as pain and bleeding can often be severe and much worse than a normal period.
